Job Opening

Position:  Part-Time Airport Manager, City of Centerville, Iowa

Responsible for management and oversight of all activities and functions of the Centerville Municipal Airport.  Work is performed with considerable independence under the general direction of the Airport Commission, Mayor and City Council and in accordance with city, state, and federal rules and regulations in the planning and execution of programs and projects.

Selected individual will conduct daily business transactions (including maintaining proper records, reports, and documents, answering correspondence, building and living within a budget, responding to complaints, obtaining equipment and other services, and ordering supplies).  Will be responsible for maintenance, security, and safety aspects of the airport and related equipment.  Will maintain good communication and effective working relationships with government agencies, contractors, airport licensees or tenants, the general public, and the Airport Commission, Mayor and City Council relating to airport operations and facilities.  Aviation background, A&P and CFI applicants preferred.
